Laanes, along with colleagues Riho Västrik and Priit Tammets, is leading a student project to develop a map application showcasing Holocaust sites in Estonia. Through this project, students will learn about the Holocaust in Estonia and write descriptions for each site. They will then visit these locations, collect their coordinates, and document them (audio)visually. This information will be compiled in an interactive map application for those who wish to visit these often remote places and learn or teach about the Holocaust in Estonia.
